Well all the ingredients were there but unfortunately this film wasn't that great. There were plenty of moments that could have been made scary if directed correctly. Or if they even explored the "things" more to determine their origin or came up with a way to defeat them. I didn't see the original film, Kairo, to know if things were done better. But being a Japanese film it's probably just more confusing. :) Your basic premise is it starts with your Internet. Time after time people click the link "Want to meet a ghost?" or whatever it is. Even though it appears out of nowhere. Once you click it you see video of people that are dead. And you also open the door for the "things" to come through. Internet, cell phone, wi-fi and the list goes on for things that are conduits for them. As Maddie's friend says "They want what they don't have. Life." Once they get to you they basically suck your will to live from you until you disintegrate into ash. In one seen Maddie is in the grasp and we see why you lose the will to live because of where it's taken. It is a frightening concept. As dependent as we are on technology, imagine something that could use that dependency and exploit it as our ultimate weakness. Kristen Bell does what she can with the character. But she doesn't have much to work with. That she can make us care about her character in this film says something for her talent. She barely escapes in the scene where she is nearly taken. In the aftermath Kristen displays what is probably the best job I've seen on film of sheer terror. Overall even if you're a Kristen fan I'd recommend waiting for the DVD rental.

Christina has one scene when getting out of bed with a guy that she shows decent cleavage.

Kristen shows some cleavage as well when getting dressed in the morning. She's nude in a tub but nothing is shown. In the scene where the friend poofs in front of her some ash gets on her. Following that scene we see Kristen in her bra after she removes her shirt. There are plenty of butt shots. A few are missed because of darkness. There are a couple of fair ones in jeans. Also while wearing jeans we're treated to a fairly nice view of her derriere.
